The first global water stress map was created by the World Resources Institute's (WRI) Aqueduct team. The WRI rankings track water risk across 181 countries and 100 river basins, with 37 countries facing "extremely high" levels of water stress and using over 80% of their yearly available supply.

The Carbon Offset grant program at USU just completed its first successful round of funding. New projects range from solar panels to artwork prompting members of the USU community to notice air quality in Cache Valley and adopt behaviors that lead to reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
