Winter Crops Class

Join us for a winter crop workshop scheduled for January 23, 2013 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Sevier County Fairgrounds located at 410 East 200 South, Richfield.  The workshop is sponsored in part by Utah State University Extension and the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, and is free of charge and open to the public.  Lunch will be provided to those who RSVP by Thursday, January 17.

The workshop will address several issues including insect control in alfalfa and other crops, weed control, ground squirrel control, the Sevier noxious weed control program, grasshopper outlook, soil fertility and fertilizers.

Participants will be eligible to receive four continuing educational units - CEUs - two in use, one in law and one in safety.
