Welcome to Utah State University cooperative extension in Salt Lake County.  The Salt Lake County Extension provides informal education to you through workshops, mass media, demonstrations, 4-H clubs, Master Gardener Volunteers, telephone consultations, individual and group meetings, and educational bulletins.

Our focus is to provide unbiased research based educational programs that will enhance the quality of life for the citizens of the Salt Lake County.

Walk through the Garden with a Master Gardener FREE
Starts May 20, 2009 and runs every Wed night at 6:30 and Sat at 9:00 AM.  Are you thinking of building a waterwise garden?  Come get inspired at Jordan Valley Water Conservation Garden Park

Ask a Master Gardener - Free Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinics
Mondays starting June 1, 2009, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. 

Bring in your plant and pest samples for review and receive  recommendations that promote healthy plants and landscapes.

June 24 & July 1, 2009 (Wed) 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Topics include how to: prepare financially, determine the right home for you, find 1st time homebuyer grant programs, shop for a realtor, lender and title company, close the deal and handle life as a home owner.

Insurance Questions Answered - CANCELLED
June 24, 2009 (Wed) 12:00 PM pm - 1:00 PM. Find out WHAT and HOW much insurance you need, what insurances to avoid, and how to protect against your financial risks. Bring your lunch and enjoy.

Personal Financial Management Class
July 16, 2009 (Thu) 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM  Class will cover basics of communication & personal planning, managing your money, buyer beware, restoring credit and the wise use of credit.
