Welcome to Utah State University cooperative extension in Salt Lake County.  The Salt Lake County Extension provides informal education to you through workshops, mass media, demonstrations, 4-H clubs, Master Gardener Volunteers, telephone consultations, individual and group meetings, and educational bulletins.

Our focus is to provide unbiased research based educational programs that will enhance the quality of life for the citizens of the Salt Lake County.

Pressure Canner Canning.  Our Home Economist will test your canner for free on Thursdays from 12:00 - 4:00 pm.  Bring your lid.  This service is FREE.
 
Oct 14,  2008 (Tuesday) 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Cost is $10 for General Public, $50 for Bankruptcy filers. 
Oct 14 2008 (Tues). 12:00PM - 1:00 PM.  USU Extension welcomes Al Bingham, author of the acclaimed book “The Road to 850”.  Discover the 33 elements which raise or drop your credit score. Arm yourself with the strategies to raise your score.

Oct 18th (Sat) 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Topics include how to: prepare financially, determine the right home for you, find 1st time homebuyer grant programs, shop for a realtor, lender and title company, close the deal and handle life as a home owner.
