2019 Tribal and Rural Opioid Summit | USU Extension

    Save The Date

    July 18-19 | USU Eastern | Price, UT 84501

Purpose and Goal of the Summit

We want to come together as rural community members to talk about solutions, build partnerships, and reduce stigma. This is a place to meet other citizens who care, to share resources, learn together, and work across law enforcement, treatment, housing, recovery groups and community agencies to turn this crisis around. Come to learn, connect, and make a change.

Join us and Become Part of the Solution!

If you are a community member, we invite you to apply for a registration waiver to attend the event for free, covered by generous support from our sponsors. This includes a lively community dinner with music and messages of hope and healing, as well as a teen-focused track during the afternoon and evening of July 18th.

    Pre-Conference | July 17 8:00am - 5:00pm

Prior to the main event, we are also providing specialized training for health professionals to reduce stigma and share harm reduction best practices. This training is targeted to Substance Use Disorder Counselors, and Peer Counselors, with 12 hours of continuing education credits available. We welcome other health and prevention professionals to join us! This portion of the event is generously sponsored by USDA-NIFA.
