Description:

Plate 215X. Wilson Peak 1905 - 2003 Viewed southeast from Wilson Peak. Plates 215x and 216x form a panorama. Pinyon, juniper, and curlleaf mountain mahogany have all increased, as would be expected in the absence of fire. Despite selective logging, ponderosa pine and Douglas fir have also increased. Sagebrush and rubber rabbitbrush have increased in the few remaining open areas. The shrubs in the foreground are curlleaf mountain mahogany, which form a dense, nearly impregnable, stand on Wilson Peak.
