Plate 307. WILLOW CREEK PEAK PAVANT MOUNTAINS 1958-2000 Viewed northwest to Willow Creek Peak (9,765 ft) in the Pavant Mountains. This area on the North Fork of Chalk Creek was contour-trenched, gully-plugged, and reseeded by the Forest Service to control erosion. Conifers have increased but aspen has failed to regenerate due to repeated browsing. The photopoint is on USFS Road 096.
