Wildcat Range Station

1965

2002

Description:

Plate 10X. Wildcat Range Station 1965-2002 The old Wildcat Ranger Station on the eastside of Boulder Mountain was constructed around 1908 and has not been used for many years. Unlike the adjacent barn (Plate 9x), however, this building was recently restored by the Forest Service. The cabin site has also been fenced to exclude livestock. The three spruce trees around the building were planted, and they have increased in height, as have ponderosa pine on the more distant hillside. This is part of the original Hank’s Homestead.
