Plate 1071X. West Pass Creek 1957 – 2005 Viewed northeast up a side drainage in West Pass Creek to Haycock Mountain (8,889 ft.). The gully has been graded, reseeded with smooth brome, crested wheatgrass, and intermediate wheatgrass, and fenced to exclude livestock by the Forest Service. The photopoint is marked with a steel fence post. Pinyon, juniper, ponderosa pine, and curlleaf mountain mahogany have increased in the distance. The original photograph is mislabeled as Rock Canyon gully, which it is not.
