Plate 728X. Truman Bench 1962 – 2004 The Forest Service established four utilization transects, one pellet group transect, and two Parker-Three Step Transects on Truman Bench in 1962 to monitor range conditions. Plate 728x is viewed southeast at the start of the second utilization transect, which is marked with a rock carin. A large juniper now blocks the original photopoint so the retake was made further to the left and forward. Pinyon and juniper have increased as have cliff rose, bitterbrush, oakbrush, Utah serviceberry, and mountain big sage.
