Plate 947X. Strawberry Exclosure 1954 – 1959 – 1963 – 2005 Viewed east along line one of the Parker Three-Step Transect outside the Strawberry Exclosure. Plant cover appears to have increased, while bare soil appears to have declined. The most common grass is needle and thread. Forbs include cinquefoil, penstemon, and Indian paintbrush. In the distance, conifers have increased, while aspen has declined.
