Plate 753X. Manera Wash 1966 – 1984 – 2004 In 1954, the Forest Service established three Parker Three-Step Transects at Manera Wash to monitor range conditions on the Dixie National Forest. In 1963, the agency added pellet group and utilization transects to the previously established Parker Three-Steps. Plate 753x is viewed southwest at the start of the second Parker Three-Step Transect. Pinyon and juniper have increased. Shrubs include cliff rose, bitterbrush, mountain big sage, snakeweed, and green rabbitbrush. Cheatgrass is abundant.
