Plate 584X. Strawberry Valley 1940 – 2004 Viewed northeast down Strawberry Valley, The area in the foreground was root-plowed and reseeded with crested wheatgrass, smooth brome, and Kentucky bluegrass in 1937. Green rabbitbrush has invaded the seeding. The area is no longer grazed by domestic sheep, but the site was grazed by cattle in 2004. Ponderosa pine has increased, while aspen has declined. A new road has been built up Strawberry Valley.
