Spendlove Knoll

Plate 1455X. Spendlove Knoll 1957 – 2007 Viewed east-southeast down Lee Valley from Spendlove Knoll on the Lower Kolob Plateau in Zion National Park. The cleared fields in the retake are a private inholding. Pine Valley Peak (7,415 ft.) is on the left. Pinyon, juniper, ponderosa pine, oak, mountain brush, and sagebrush have all increased. Woody vegetation now blocks the original photopoint, so the retake was made from the nearest open area.
