Description:

Plate 254. SOUTH CREEK BEAVER, UTAH 1941-2000 Viewed northwest down South Creek to Beaver, Utah. Sagebrush appears to have declined, while pinyon and juniper have increased. Cottonwoods along South Creek appear about the same, though, some of the older trees have recently died. Grass cover in the foreground appears to have increased despite continued cattle grazing. The tent in the original was part of an early study to measure soil infiltration rates. Note the new high-voltage powerline.
