Plate 1432X. Smith Mesa 1920 – 2007 Plates 1430x to 1433x form a panorama taken from the south end of Smith Mesa above the town of Virgin, UT. Plate 1432x is viewed east across North Creek. Woody riparian vegetation has increased on the lower section of the stream (photo right-center edge), as well as along the Virgin River, which is just visible on the right edge of the images. Pinyon and juniper have increased. The open areas on the mesa east of North Creek are cleared fields. The photopoint is 100 ft. northeast of the Virgin benchmark.
