Podunk Creek

Description:

Plate 237X. Podunk Creek 1961 - 2003 Erosion control structure at the headwall cut on Podunk Creek below Coyote Spring. Plate 237x is viewed south-southwest. The rock structure was built in 1958 on what was then an intermittent stream. The streambanks and channel appear more heavily vegetated today than they did in the earlier photo. The area was not grazed by cattle in 2003. The meadow is mostly smooth brome and Kentucky bluegrass, but sedges dominate the wetter areas, especially along the creek.
