Plate 1119X. Pink Cliffs 1909 – 2005 Viewed east along the Pink Cliffs below Navajo Peak on the Dixie National Forest. Plates 1119x and 1120x form a panorama. Spruce, white fir, Douglas fir, ponderosa pine, oakbrush, and greenlead manzanita have increased, while aspen has declined. Forest fuels have increased accordingly. The spire visible in the 1909 image - - photo lower-right center - - is still present.
