Pine Valley Reservoir
Plate 756X. Pine Valley Reservoir 1937 – 2004 Viewed southwest to the dam on Pine Valley Reservoir. The original photopoint is now blocked by a dense growth of oakbrush so the retake was made from the nearest open area, which is further forward. Ponderosa pine, white fir, and spruce have increased dramatically, as have pinyon, juniper, and mountain brush - - including oakbrush, Utah serviceberry, and curlleaf mountain mahogany, among others.
U.S. Forest Service photograph (unnumbered) taken on December 1, 1937; retake by Darrell McMahon on August 11, 2004 - - Photo No. DM-52-10. Original photograph held by Southern Utah University Archives and Special Collections, Cedar City, UT.
