Pine Valley

Plate 1501X. Pine Valley 1943 – 2007 Viewed southeast to Pine Valley and the Pine Valley Mountains. Pinyon and juniper now block the original camera station, so the retake was made from the nearest open area. Pinyon and juniper have increased, as have Utah serviceberry, oakbrush, cliffrose, bitterbrush, curlleaf mountain mahogany, white fir, ponderosa pine, forest fuels, and houses. Willows appear to have declined along the Santa Clara River.
