Plate 774X. Pine Valley 1943 – 2004 Viewed east-northeast to the Pine Valley Mountains. This photopoint is near the 40 acre Mountain View Administration Site - - see Plates 695x to 697x and Plates 769x to 772x, but this area has not been interseeded with crested wheatgrass. Mountain big sage has increased. New homes have been built in the town of Pine Valley. In the distance, ponderosa pine, white fir, spruce, pinyon, juniper, and mountain brush have all increased, as have forest fuels.
