Description:
Plate 462X. Park Wash 1940 – 2004 Viewed east-northeast from Calf Pasture Point to the junction of Park Wash and Deer Range Canyon. Pinyon, juniper, and ponderosa pine have increased. Wyoming big sage and rubber rabbitbrush are the most common shrubs along the canyon bottoms, while Gambel’s oak, Utah serviceberry, bitterbrush, birchleaf mountain mahogany, and greenleaf manzanita are found on the steeper slopes. The canyon bottoms were actively being grazed by cattle in 2004. Plates 461x and 462x form a panorama. Access roads have been added.
