Plate 499X. North Creek 1933 – 2004 Viewed northeast to the confluence of North Creek (photo left) and the Escalante River (photo right). The 1933 image shows a complete absence of woody riparian vegetation. Today, however, there is a dense growth of willows, cottonwoods, and Russian olive, despite continued livestock grazing on this private property.
