Mount Marvine

1915

2001

Description:

Plate 337. MOUNT MARVINE 1915-2001 Plates 333 to 337 form a panorama from the top of Mount Marvine on the Fishlake Plateau. Plate 337 is viewed east across UM Valley to Mount Hilgard (11,533 ft). Conifers have increased, while aspen has declined except in the Potholes area where some aspen stands appear to have increased in size. Most aspen stands have not regenerated in many years due to excessive browsing of new aspen suckers. Willows along UM Creek appear unchanged. Note the new access road up UM Valley.
