Mount Marvine

2001

Description:

Plate 336. MOUNT MARVINE 1915-2001 Plates 333 to 337 form a panorama from the top of Mount Marvine on the Fishlake Plateau. Plate 336 is viewed northeast to UM Pass and across the head of UM Creek to UM Plateau (11,080 ft). Conifers have increased markedly, while aspen has declined. Many aspen stands have also been heavily invaded by conifers and most have not regenerated in many years due to excessive browsing of new aspen suckers. Insects are now attacking the mature spruce. Note the new 4WD trail up Sawmill Creek.
