Description:

Plate 291. MEADOW CREEK PAVANT MOUNTAINS 1953-2000 Viewed south-southwest at the head of Meadow Creek in the Pavant Mountains. This area was contour-trenched, gully-plugged, and reseeded by the Forest Service to control erosion. Conifers have increased in the distance, but aspen has not regenerated due to repeated browsing by wild and domestic ungulates. The shrubs are big sage, snowberry, and currant.
