Description:
Plate 227. MARYSVALE CANYON 1934-2000 Viewed southeast across the Sevier River in Marysvale Canyon. The foreground in the original appears heavily grazed but that is not the case today. Shrubs in the foreground are primarily Russian olive (Elaeagnus angustifolia), rabbitbrush, and sagebrush. The river is at the base of the hill and the riparian shrubs are primarily river birch. Otherwise, there has been little apparent change at this site.
