Maple Canyon

Description:

Plate 1351X. Maple Canyon 1942 – 2006 Viewed northwest up Maple Canyon from Utah Highway 14 in Cedar Canyon. The stream is normally dry and what looks like woody riparian vegetation in the 1942 image is actually leafless oakbrush. The stream channel has downcut and moved to the right where oakbrush is still present. Pinyon and juniper have increased, as have sand sage and rubber rabbitbrush in the foreground. The dirt road leads to a gravel pit on the left.
