Plate 533X. Lower LeVanger Lake 1939 – 2004 Viewed northeast across Lower LeVanger Lake near Alton, UT. Pinyon, juniper, oakbrush, and ponderosa pine have increased. The lake level has fallen due to the drought that has gripped southern Utah for several years. The road to Alton (photo left) has been widened and paved.
