Plate 1360X. Lowder Ranch 1902 – 2006 Viewed west-southwest to the old cabins on Lowder Creek. Many of the spruce have recently been killed by insects and disease. The area behind the cabins has been salvaged logged. The large spruce with the missing top behind the cabins has died but is still standing in the retake. Boy Scouts were camped around the cabins when the retake was made. Conifers have increased and aspen has declined since 1902.
