Description:

Plate 80. JOHNSON VALLEY RESERVOIR: 1962 - 1999 Plates 79-82 form a panorama from southwest to northwest across Johnson Valley Reservoir. The 1962 photos were taken during late fall when aspen (Populus tremuloides) was leafless. Most of the aspen shown in 1999 was heavily invaded by conifers and do not appear to be regenerating. Curlleaf mountain mahogany (Cercocarpus ledifolius) occurs on some of the hillsides.
