Plate 466X. Johnson Canyon 1921 – 2004 Viewed northwest up Johnson Canyon just above its junction with Skutumpah Canyon - - see Plate 467x. Shown is the lava sill on Johnson Creek. Wyoming big sage has increased and now blocks part of the view from the original camera station. Pinyon and juniper have increased. Other shrubs include four-wing saltbrush and rubber rabbitbrush. Globe mallow, cheatgrass, and needle and thread are also present. The cut bank has stabilized and is more heavily vegetated today than it was in the past.
