Plate 495X. Hillsdale Canyon 1940 – 2004 Viewed northeast up the first northern branch of Hillsdale Canyon on the western flank of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. There has been little apparent change on these steep, south-facing cliffs. The most common species include pinyon, juniper, ponderosa pine, bitterbrush, greenleaf manzanita, curlleaf mountain mahogany, oakbrush, and mountain big sage.
