Plate 59X. Hell’s Backbone 1938-2002 Viewed southwest at the bridge on Hell’s Backbone. Sand Creek Canyon is on the left and Death Hollow is on the right. This is similar to Plate 58x except the camera is turned a little more to the south. Some ponderosa pines have died and others have grown-up.
