Plate 500X. Escalante Cemetery 1934 – 2004 Viewed north along the western edge of the Escalante town cemetery. The cemetery has been expanded to the north and a new high school has been built to the west. Seen in the distance of the 1934 image is the Escalante River, which is more heavily vegetated today than in earlier times. Viewed up Pine Creek with Boulder Top in the distance.
