Many of the larger Ponderosa pine on the near hillside have been logged. Pinyon and juniper have increased on the near slope in Emery Valley, and on the more distant hillsides. Curlleaf mountain mahogany is present in the foreground and on the near slope, as is greenleaf manzanita. Forest Service roads and State Highway 12 are visible in the retake. This photopoint is similar to that for Plate 119x except this camera station is on the south side of the ridge.
