East Fork Of The Virgin River

1945

2005

Description:

Plate 872X. East Fork of the Virgin River 1945 – 2005 Viewed east up the East Fork of the Virgin River about 3 miles below Mount Carmel Junction. The distribution of cottonwoods is different, but there does not appear to be any major change in the abundance of woody riparian vegetation. Pinyon and juniper too appear largely unchanged. Sagebrush, skunkbrush, and rubber rabbitbrush are common on drier parts of the valley.
