Plate 561X. Croft Sawmill 1941 – 2004 Viewed northeast to the Croft Lumber Company sawmill on Swains Creek just above Utah Highway 14. The site has been bulldozed and was being used as a staging area for a new bridge being built across Swains Creek in 2004. Pinyon, juniper, ponderosa pine, spruce, and white fir have all increased. A new road has been built up Swains Creek. The remains of the old log pond can be seen in the foreground.
