Plate 1014X. Cooper Knoll 1894 – 2005 Viewed east to Cooper Knoll (9,019 ft.) above Panguitch Lake. The conifers in the foreground were planted by the Forest Service in 1969. Panguitch Lake Resort is in the foreground, while Lakeview Lodge is on the far shore. Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir have increased on Cooper Knoll, while aspen has declined - - see Plates 1017x and 1041x. Mountain big sage and lupine are common in the foreground.
