Co-Op Flat

1936

2006

Description:

Plate 1317X. Co-op Flat 1936 – 2006 Viewed south-southwest across Co-op Flat on Cedar Mountain. The wooden-rail fence has been replaced with woven wire. Behind the fence is an irrigation ditch that carries water from a spring to the new stock pond. Aspen within the road right-of-way, where it is not grazed, has regenerated but not in the pasture due to excessive herbivory by domestic sheep (Ohms 2003). The meadow, however, appears less heavily grazed today than it was in the past.
