Description:
Plate 1461X. Cave Knoll 1872 – 2007 Viewed west across Cave Valley from Cave Knoll on the Lower Kolob Plateau in Zion National Park. The Pine Valley Mountains are in the distance. Pinyon, juniper, oakbrush, Utah serviceberry, and sagebrush have increased, except where private inholdings have been cleared. Gullies have formed below the knoll. Native grasses have declined.
