Plate 1277X. Bryce Canyon Snow Course 1936 – 2006 Viewed south to the start of the snow course north of Bryce Canyon Lodge in Bryce Canyon National Park. The building in the 1936 image was the old ranger station, which has since been removed. Bitterbrush has increased, while native grasses have declined. Ponderosa pine has increased. Note the snow survey sign on the tree nearest the camera in the retake.
