Plate 1361X. Brian Head 1935 – 2006 Viewed north-northwest to Brian Head (11,307 ft). The old road in the foreground has naturally revegetated. The area is more vegetated today than it was in the past despite being grazed yearly by domestic sheep. Conifers appear unchanged except that many of the older spruce have recently been killed by insects and disease. Shown in the 1935 image is a CCC truck that was being used to build the road to Brian Head - - see Plate 1363x.
