Blue Spring Creek

1968

2005

Description:

Plate 1011X. Blue Spring Creek 1968 – 2005 Viewed north across Blue Spring Creek southwest of Panguitch Lake. The area was more heavily grazed in the past than it is today. Due to the increased growth of willows that now block the original camera station, the retake was made from the nearest open area and with a wider-angle lens. The streambanks are more vegetated today than in earlier times. The old road right-of-way on the other side of the stream is now an ATV trail. The wooden structure in the retake (photo right-corner) is a fence crossing structure. Just below the fence are the remains of an old wooden bridge, as the road up Bunker Creek has been realigned further upstream.
