Description:

Plate 1428X. Bald Knoll 1940 – 2006 Viewed east to Bald Knoll (7,004 ft) at the head of Johnson Canyon. The foreground has been chained, root-plowed, and planted to crested wheatgrass, but rubber rabbitbrush and sagebrush have started to reinvade the treated area. Pinyon, juniper, oakbrush, currant, and Utah serviceberry have all increased.
