Plate 524X. Alton Amphitheater 1939 – 2004 Viewed northeast up Kanab Creek to the Sunset Cliffs above Alton, UT. The pinyon and juniper in the foreground have been cleared and the area replanted with crested wheatgrass, intermediate wheatgrass, and yellow sweet clover. Pinyon, juniper, and oakbrush have increased in the distance - - except where they have been chained, pushed, or cut. Most of the area in this photoset is private property.
