Hunter Panel, Carbon County, Utah

The Hunter Panel located in Nine Mile Canyon is a very well known petroglyph panel left behind by the Freemont Indians. This site located two hours from Price, Utah is on School Trust Land and has, unlike other rock art in the canyon, miraculously avoided vandoulous acts. In an attempt to preserve the panel before vandalism occurs, RIPP was asked to prepare a master plan for the rerouting of the canyon road, parking circulation, location of trails, placement of fascilities(picnic and restroom), and structural element design ideas. Construction on the site began on June 15th 2004. Click here for a complete set of plans.(Finished: 06-04 Designer: Chad Kennedy)
