USU Extension Co-sponsors Celebrating Women Conference

Utah State University Extension co-sponsors the Celebrating Women Conference held at the Weber State University Davis Campus Saturday, September 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Designed as an event to promote wellness and balance in the lives of women across the Wasatch Front, the conference features workshops presented by professionals from Northern Utah. Workshops include such topics as self-care, body image, organization and healthy living. celebrating women

Keynote speaker Brooke Walker, host and executive producer of KSL Studio 5, will present “Connect. Inspire. Thrive.” She is an Emmy award-winning journalist and a member of the KSL News Team, where she frequently contributes as an anchor and reporter.  Her presentation concludes the event.

The conference begins at 9 a.m. and includes three sets of workshop sessions followed by the keynote presentation at noon.

“We are excited about this event,” said Emma Parkhurst, USU Extension Health and Wellness Faculty for Davis County. “We have a fantastic lineup of speakers. We are confident that the women who attend will come away with information and skills to help them in their lives and they will leave feeling inspired.”
