Juab County Weed Awareness Program

In an effort to control noxious broadleaf weeds, Nephi and Eureka Cities in cooperation with the Juab County Weed Board and USU Extension, will be sponsoring the Juab County Weed Awareness program.  The herbicide will be given away on April 10, 2013, 5:00-6:00 pm at the Juab County Weed Department, 350 West Center Street in Nephi.
The purpose of the program is to make the public aware of the problem with noxious weeds and to provide herbicides to individuals who want to spray their weeds.
One pint of a concentrated broadleaf herbicide will be provided to households at no cost.  You will not need to bring your sprayer or container.  The concentrate will make up to 8 gallons. The herbicide will be in the company’s original container with the product label attached.  Before using the product, the product label should be read.
Only 450 pints will be available, distributed on a first come first served basis.  The herbicide must be picked up by someone 18 or older.  Participants can only pick up the herbicide for their household and no others.  It is suggested that you use this product to control noxious weeds like Whitetop in your area.
For more information about this program or weed management, contact the Juab County Weed Department at 681-0428 or USU Extension at 623-3450.
