4-H Staff Assistant/ Teen Council Advisor position 

Utah State University Extension in Juab County is seeking a 4-H Staff Assistant/Teen Council Advisor position, 8 hours per week (flexible hours), $12/hour, located in Nephi. 

 Position Summary:  Recruit, maintain and advise 4-H Senior Teen Council and Southwest Region Ambassadors program.  Provide leadership and service opportunities for youth in grades 8 – 12, and be an advocate for Juab County 4-H.  The Teen Council Advisor will work with the local 4-H Agents to deliver the Teen Council Program and carry out program activities related to the recently obtained TANF Grant objectives. 

 Preferred Qualifications:  Experience working with youth and/or families.  Candidates must be willing to work some evenings and weekends, and attend state trainings.  Must be at least 21 years of age.  Must pass a background check.  Effective communication skills (written and oral) required.  Microsoft Word and email experience required.
